Gold Line Feeds recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment, including sustainable sourcing for raw materials, beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods. We actively encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same.
51% of our product packaging uses recyclable materials, up from 21% over the last 18 months. Our mission is to be supplying products using 100% recyclable materials by 2023.
We partner with packaging manufacturers that are constantly evolving their best practice, ensuring they use innovative and sustainable materials and are proactively reducing their carbon emissions.
We only use waste management providers that provide safe, secure, and accredited disposal of waste with minimum effect on carbon footprint. We recycle packaging materials such as cardboard, sharing wrap and tote bags and where possible, we rework goods nutritionally and hygienically.
Convert liquid waste into green energy
Our suppliers adopt anaerobic digestion technologies to convert all our liquid-food waste into green energy.
Electric forklift fleet
In 2019 we began updating our fleet of forklifts, transitioning from diesel and gas to electric to reduce our carbon footprint. By November 2021 our forklift fleet will be fully electric.
Repurposing category 3 waste
All our category 3 waste is repurposed into biofuels.
Recycling paper waste
All the printed, shredded, and confidential paper waste used at our head office is 100% recycled and turned into recycled paper to be used again.
